Grant and Funding Opportunities
Provost’s Learning and Innovation Grant
The Provost's Learning Innovations Grant (PLIG) program has been developed to broaden and enrich the learning experience of students at RIT. The Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs' Office has set aside funds for faculty-initiated projects that enhance student learning. Unlike college-based FEAD grants that focus on improving teaching through faculty development, PLIG grants directly target learning outcomes and student success. PLIG grants can provide funding for two types of initiatives:
The Proof of Concept program provides seed funds for projects that explore promising learning experiences that challenge the pedagogical paradigm of a discipline. For the 2011-2012 academic year, special consideration will be given to proposals for the design and development of a new online course, or the conversion of an existing face-to-face course for online delivery.
The Adaptation & Implementation program provides funds to coordinate the broader adoption of a proven approach for enhancing the learning environment within or between disciplines.
