Summer Conversion Labs
This summer, in addition to regular faculty support services, the Teaching & Learning Studio is offering open lab sessions twice a week for faculty working on course conversion.
These labs provide a supported environment in which faculty members can work independently or in groups with in-person support from Instructional Design and Academic Technology consultants. TLS consultants will be available to:
- Answer questions
- Brainstorm ideas and offer alternatives
- Assist with myCourses or other academic technologies
- Help faculty identify effective tools or find resources
The lab will be open from 8:30am to 4:30pm in the Teaching & Learning Studio at The Wallace Center, Room A650. Light refreshments will be supplied in the morning and afternoon.
Note: This is not a facilitated workshop; it is, however, an opportunity to focus on (re)designing your courses for semesters in a space where design and technology assistance is available.
Feel free to bring any material that you'll need to use as you work on your course, including laptop computer, course outlines and syllabi, textbooks, etc.
If you would like to have an ASL interpreter present while you are working in the lab, please contact http://myaccess.rit.edu/.
