Testimonials: What They’re Saying
Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Environmental Sustainability
"Offering the very first BS degree program focusing on managing environmental quality comes with some responsibility. Consequently, since 1991 RIT has taken a leadership role in better defining and elevating the profession; our faculty has been in the lead or involved at the crossroads for many critical decisions. Over the past five years, we have helped define and establish the concept of “environmental sustainability” as the goal of the environmental professional, and last year it clearly became time to expand our international reach by creating and publishing a new journal dedicated to this goal. While our history provided us with ample material and momentum to move forward, it did not at all prepare us for the intricacies of publishing. The sequencing of events, the nuances behind establishing credibility, the editing outsourcing process, the expectations of authors, editors and reviewers, the design and layout, and the logistics of production and distribution, all were beyond our experiences. Fortunately for us, they were not beyond the experiences of our colleagues across campus in the Wallace Center’s Scholarly Publishing Studio - they were, in fact, central to their skill set! I am now pleased to announce that the first international issue of the Journal of Environmental Sustainability (SPS) will be published at the end of this summer and very thankful to Nick Paulus and his crew at SPS for making it a reality."
Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Game Design and Development Education
"The Scholarly Publishing Studio staff have been incredibly supportive in the creation and deployment of the Journal of Game Design and Development Education (JGDDE). Their support has not stopped at the on-line and physical production of the first issue of the journal. They have been true partners in exploring and implementing the marketing of the journal and brainstorming new technologies and new directions for the journal as well. I look forward to not only continuing to work with them on this journal but exploring additional journals as well."
Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Science Education for Students with Disabilities
"The professional staff at the Wallace Center have made the publication of the Journal of Science Education for Students with Disabilities possible. The journal had come to the point where it was most advantageous to move the journal to an Open Access format, and the skilled support staff helped us with every facet of making that transition- and continue to help with the logistics involved in regular publication."
