Library Instruction
RIT Libraries offers dynamic information literacy classes designed to help students learn how to effectively navigate resources in our library and beyond.

Taught by the RIT college librarians/liaisons, the content of these online or in-person classes can be tailored to meet the specific needs of a class or assignment. Past sessions have been held in library computer labs, regular classrooms, and online via web conferencing software. To schedule a library instruction session, contact your librarian.

Students and faculty can also access a variety of online tutorials and research guides to further enhance their research skills. LIV@ RIT consists of a series of eight modules to help you learn how to effectively search for and evaluate information. Research guides provide access to both subject- and class-specific research recommendations, as well as more general research support. If you would like to have an online video tutorial or research guide created for your class, contact your librarian.
